Acting as Co-Set Designer and Co-Prop Designer with Amy Limen in collaboration with Director Lynda Lynford, I approached William Shakespeare's Romantic comedy as it would be set in the Late 18th Century. Designing the royal study where the men in the play reside in great measure was a great opportunity. Emphasizing the broad scape disciplines of science (Chemistry, Astronomy, Geography and Anatomy), The world of the play came to life with each nobleman in his respected study but not limited to that space.

Being Co-Designer and having Love's labor's lost as my Senior Project, I was able to do the Drafting for all of the Architectural set pieces. Manipulate these pieces of scenery from an indoor georgian study to a gondola boat dock for instance was as exhilarating as it was challenging.

Drawing Inspiration from Fragonard's beautiful master piece entitled "The Swing", The play took a more flirtatious and playfully innocent effect. For instance, while the noblemen made their discoveries of science in the first act, they found that a banister was a useful slide and that a revolving top table had similarities to a mary-go-round. This spirit translated well into the commencing play with the noblewomen in the fields of nature.
